Will Smallwood leads one of the largest national marketing organizations in the country specializing in the senior market. He is a big believer in planned growth and supports team development. William is a licensed insurance professional and holds a BA in Business Administration from Ole Miss.


Will Smallwood is no stranger to struggle. The old saying “Big doors swing on small hinges” tells the story of American Eagle Consultants under the leadership of Will Smallwood. In 2000, his second year of college at Ole Miss, Will got his insurance license and began selling Medicare Supplements for United American. His first month in the insurance business resulted in his placement in the top 20 of insurance agents in weekly production with United American. He spent that summer repeating his initial success and for the next two years returned to successful selling for United America during holidays and summer breaks. During these two years he would become Unit Manager through National Consultants where he recruited other Ole Miss students into the health insurance field.


After graduating in 2004 with his BA degree he accepted the position of Director of Marketing with American Eagle Consultants. Overseeing the recruiting, training and managing of the captive shop he brought American Eagle Consultants recognition in 2004,2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 with United American through their Presidents and Eagle awards.


William became President of American Eagle Consultants in 2006 and developed the extensive captive/broker distribution in some 35 states, marketing Medicare advantage products to seniors. During these years American Eagle Consultants became the number two FMO for Wellpoint/Anthem while also achieving the coveted Circle of Excellence award with Mutual of Omaha for 9 consecutive years, from 2008 through 2017.
